But no single soil can provide these above mentioned effects. That is why to obtain them we need to use fusion of different soils. This article will help us in knowing the types of different soils.
  • Sand
Sand has ability that it could not retain water for the long time. So it helps the roots of the plant in not soaking in the water for the long time. But the major disadvantage is that one has to water the soil more often than other types of soil.

  • Clay
Clay has ability to hold nutrition but the problem with this it gets sticky when one put water over it and clay do not let air and water to get entered in plants.

  • Silt
Silt has abilities of both clay and sand. It can be able to hold nutrition and the same time do not retain water for the long time.
  • Loam
Loam is considered to be the perfect type of soil for the plants as it is the formed by adding the appropriate amount of sand, clay and silt.
So ultimately it holds the nutrition. But at the same time as loam is the combination of both sand and clay it can hold water in better way than sand.
